Issue:
Lotus Domino server has been installed. After that installation, someone installed and removed Lotus Notes clients. Registry settings seem to be missing for the server.
This was illustrated by event log docuements written by an event handler having a large paragraph at the beginning saying:
he description for Event ID ( 2 ) in Source ( NotesEvent ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: ...

Solution:
Re-run the registry bat program.

1. navigate to your Domino server's Domino directory.
e.g. cd \lotus\Domino where the program folder is on the D drive

2. Run the notesreg.bat program specifying your Domino server's program path.
e.g. notesreg.bat "d:\Lotus\Domino"
