Issue:
Installed/re-installed Lotus Domino 8.5.

When started server received this message:
error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
expr: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6 cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Solution:
Actual issue was that the updates a few weeks back were accepted including an update to 5.3 for the kernel.
The issue did now show up until the reboot of Linux.

There is a bug where Lotus Domino runs a script to setup its own environment. The /etc/issue file has a line that says it's Red Hat ... 5.3. That 5.3 makes Domino think that it's the old Redhat 5.3 software and in incorrectly sets the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL variable which causes the issue. Workaround was to set the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in the server's profile so that it was used by the server when it started.
